Boston Scientific, Paris

Boston Scientific Corporation commissioned Devereux Architects to design and implement the refurbishment of an existing office building in Paris to be their new European Institute.

Product, procedural, clinical and development needs were accommodated within the design, which includes a simulated Cath Lab, programmer room and a Virtual Reality room housing ten latest generation simulators on bespoke furniture.

Five fully flexible training rooms were provided at first floor level, along with a VIP suite, staff offices and meeting rooms. At ground floor level a deluxe 60-seat auditorium is housed inside a free standing timber shell designed to make a bold architectural statement whilst providing visitors and guests with a state of the art experience.

One of the main challenges on this project was the international nature of the scheme, which was managed across four countries, in two languages and with the input of three client organisations in Paris, Brussels and the USA.
