Tring Park, School for the Performing Arts

Tring Park is one of the few schools in the UK that focuses on providing a specialist artistic education. The School is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school with a maximum of 300 pupils between the ages of 8-19.

Tring Park School for the Performing Arts is set in a large country mansion designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1670 for Henry Guy, Gentleman of the Bedchamber to Charles II. It was subsequently significantly altered in the ‘French Chateau’ style by the Rothschild Family in the 18th Century hence its Grade II* listing.

Over many years, Devereux Architects have carried out alterations, extensions, refurbishments and upgrading to the house and its associated buildings, the latest being the Markova Theatre, a new studio theatre in the listed Elizabethan garden, which was officially opened by HRH Prince Edward.
